Who doesn't love color?! Well, sadly there are those who don't...but I suppose that is alright. Each to their own! I am introducing my first post of a new series about color and what individual hue is inspiring me lately. The first hue on the list is Violet. Love this hue! Words that describe this hue are: lavender, lilac, stimulating, sensual, feminine (but not too feminine), luxe and soothing.

I don't have much violet (or anything in the purple) color family in my wardrobe. I really think that needs to change, don't you? It was always my parents favorite color on me as a kid. (Maybe that's why I don't own much now as an adult?) Whatever the reason...I want to find more covetable pieces in this gorgeous hue and add them to my wardrobe.

Please let me know what you think of my new post idea, my inspirational color of choice and my picks.

As always, thanks for reading! Love to read your comments....they make my day! :)

Colorful Accesorries

Happy Wednesday! Can you believe it's already the middle of the week? Time goes by so quickly!! Anywho.....here is my most recent look! I bought this black lacey dress last year and never looked back! It's gorgeous, classy and elegant. A black dress like this is so versatile. It could be styled with rocking boots, turquoise accessories and an awesome floppy hat. Or, with strappy sandals and a sleek bag. How about with a bold red lip and statement stilettos? I would also like to try it with a baseball cap and neon sneakers! :) I chose to style it this time with colored accessories (actually my hubby's idea) and black simple sandals. I just love how the accessories "pop".

I think the photos turned out quite well although we had to shoot in the middle of the day again. What do you think about my goofy pics? :) Still trying to keep up the fun!!

So, what do you think about my look? How would YOU style this dress?

Thank you for reading lovelies! Appreciate your feedback and comments!!

Boyfriend Jeans on A Casual Date Night

Hello everyone! I must first apologize by stating how little I have been posting recently! I am trying to get ready for a mini vacation, which has been taking lots of preparation time....not to mention, I have been trying to keep up and check things off on my regular lists. Whew! I must say, I AM looking forward to this vacation!!

This look is actually from last Friday evening. My hubby and I went on a casual date night- which was fun. To keep it casual and fun, I opted to rock the boyfriend jeans with a corset top and a chunky cardigan/sweater. For me, when all else fails (meaning I feel rushed, too busy, or in a "i don't care, but I kinda care" mood, etc), my go-to looks are either skinny or boyfriend jeans with a long sweater or colorful coat with a simple top & choice of shoe. It is simple and easy as 1-2-3. (1- Decide which style of jeans you're going to ROCK. 2.) Coat/Jacket or Sweater/Cardigan? 3.) Shoe style- Boots? Sneaks? Heels? Flats?) Obviously, in this look my 1,2,3 was boyfriend jeans, cardigan and floral sandal.

What do you think of my 1-2-3 "when all else fails" system? Have something similar? And please, let me know what you think of my look....I love to get feedback!

As always...thanks for reading lovelies!! :)

ON MY MIND: The Colorful Bag

INSPIRATION:

MY PICKS:
1.)Edie purse2.)Rebecca Minkoff Bright Weave Mini MAC Bag
3.)4.)Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity case flame
5.)SEE BY CHLOE Bright Yellow Classic Scalloped Leather Shoulder Bag6.)Meredith Wendell Nylon Backpack

Want to know what's been on my mind lately? Well, of course you do! :) How about bold, colorful and vibrant bags/purses? Ever since I read a fabulously written post by the inspirational blogger, Ashley at Thephotogramps, my brain has continually been reeling on purchasing an investment bag (true to MY style, of course! :)). Be sure to check out her article AND other stuff on her blog...she has killer style and can WRITE.

Being true to my style would mean three things; Statement, Bold or Vibrant (but NOT wacky- I really don't like "overdone" accessories, it really has to strike a nice balance for me). I am OBSESSED with all these bags- and wish (yes, only WISH as these are each a fortune! Goodbye 401k!! Jk!) I could purchase them all. Maybe by the time I can afford them, they'll be on sale! WHOPPEE for me...that would seriously be E.P.I.C. Two things I love: buying things I love (DUH! Did I really need to state that?!) AND buying them on sale. BOO-YA!

By the way, I should mention if you haven't been over to visit the Streetpeeper's blog (which is where I get most of my inspirational photos), I suggest you do..ASAP. My fave look is the last image, which is Susie Bubble (another amazing blogger). As for my favorite PICK....I think I have to opt for the Valentino. Classic, poetic, rocker and chic. I mean, WOAH! HELLO

Hopefully sometime in the not-too-distant future I will be able to say "Hello" to and happily welcome the Valentino bag (or any of the others) into my wardrobe family.

Do you have a favorite? Would you be this bold with your daily bag choice? I'd LOVE to hear all about what you think!

Inspiration: NATURE

AND THESE PHOTOS are just for FUN! :)

WOW. I MUST start off the post by exclaiming to all that the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is AMAZING right now.....so beautiful! (as hopefully you can tell in my pics!). I wish I could go here for EVERY photo shoot I do. It just screams inspiration! I was just discussing last post how much nature inspires me....and I don't see who wouldn't think so with beauty like this!

Tyler took such wonderful, exhilarating and enlivening photos. What do you think? They are, HANDS DOWN, my favorite photos he's taken yet. I am obsessed with how my skirt & sandals stand out.....GORGEOUS (seriously, SHUT UP!). Ok...Ok....I'll calm down. Just SO psyched about these stunning photos. I swore I've told Tyler that they're fabulous so many times that I've worn out the word! :)

Our trip was fantastic and lovely. The garden started getting a little crowded when we got there, but still manageable. I would highly recommend to anyone who comes and visits NYC (especially in the spring- cherry blossoms galore!) to take a trip out here. And, if you are a NYC native who for some reason or another hasn't gotten around to visiting- get scootin'! Seriously, Tuesday's are free (all day) and Saturday's from 10-12. If you are a fellow NYC fashion blogger, call me up- I'd be happy to go! Nothing like bonding over nature.

As always, thank you so much for reading....I LOVE to hear your thoughts, comments, questions, tips!
